MD, Spartan Health Sciences University

Dr. Sunil Rangwani has served Central Michigan University's Physician Assistant Program as Adjunct Faculty since 2001. He was awarded a Doctor of Medicine from Spartan Health Sciences University in 1985. Dr. Rangwani completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry and held positions as Chief Resident, Resident, and Associate Chief Resident at Creighton-Nebraska Department of Psychiatry. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry with the University of Nebraska Medical Center and advanced clinical clerkship with SUNY Health Sciences.

At Gratiot Medical Center, Dr. Rangwani serves as Medical Director for Psychiatric Programs, Chairperson with the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine, Director of Geriatric Psychiatry, Staff Psychiatrist, and Chief of Staff-Elect. Dr. Rangwani is also Medical Director of Gratiot County Community Mental Health, Assistant Clinical Professor with the Department of Psychiatry at Michigan State University, President Elect for the Michigan Medical Society-Gratiot County, and Psychiatrist at Family Health Psychiatric & Counseling Center.

Dr. Rangwani previously served as Director of Research and Development at Family Psychiatric Associates PC, Emergency Room Psychiatric Evaluator and Consultant at Cortland Memorial Hospital, and was self employed at Managed Ambulatory Health Center Facility in Pakistan.

Dr. Rangwani has presented and published extensively in geriatric psychiatry and depression. He is a member of the American Association for Geriatric Psychiatry, American Psychiatric Association, American Board of Forensic Medicine, American Board of Forensic Examiners, American Board of Addiction Medicine, FLEX Examination, and ECFMG Examination.
