Through a generous gift from The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow Foundation in 2014, The Herbert H. & Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions purchased and developed a mobile health clinic to promote interdisciplinary practice and education in under-served areas of Michigan. It will serve as a vehicle for research, preventative health education and recruitment. Mobile Health Central will expand the college‚Äôs vision by striving to create an inclusive, healthy society. Mobile Health Central is a welcoming, accessible, safe space in our communities. We pride Mobile Health Central on being a nonjudgmental environment where anyone is welcome to receive the support and services needed to improve their health.

Mobile Health Central is a nearly 39-foot mobile health clinic customized with a soundproof booth and equipment to serve as an audiology clinic for pediatric, vestibular, and cochlear implant services. Additionally, a multipurpose examination room is located in the front of the unit. Mobile Health Central is ADA compliant with a lift for anyone who is unable to use the stairs and a handicapped accessible bathroom. Mobile Health Central also has two refrigerators available to store vaccinations, medication, or blood.
