Research in this area is multi-faceted and multi-disciplinary in
nature. It encompasses patients who have been diagnosed with hearing loss
and evaluates their long-term goals in order to ensure they are capable of
participating in everyday activities. Areas in which we focus on include adult
and pediatric populations focusing on hearing technology (e.g., hearing aids
and cochlear implants), communication options, language and literacy
development, psychosocial development, and environmental accommodations.
