CMU Colorguard marching in a paradeSaturday, September 14, 2019

Because it’s proved successful we’ll again form an ALL-STAR MASSED BAND to perform at halftime. We invite you to bring wind players in multiples of eight – if possible, and as many drummers as may reasonably be expected to balance with the winds. It’s up to each director to consider ensemble balance when selecting performers. It is still necessary to limit visiting percussion AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE so that balance and pulse can be maintained. Please do what you can to help with balance while bringing as many students as possible.

We hope you and your students can join us for this colorful event. Our fans and the CMU student body are always a fantastic audience, and our new coach, Jim McElwain, is looking forward to a very exciting season for our Chippewas. All in all, it should be a day to remember. Final arrangements will be made and additional information will be mailed in August so you can finalize your itineraries as quickly as possible. We hope you and your students can join us for a day of musical pageantry and Chippewa Football!
