Theatre Talent Scholarships

Our Theatre Talent Scholarship program is part of our ongoing effort to identify and attract talented performers, designers, and theatre technicians.   Recipients receive an award valued at up to $4,000 over their college career.  The application process varies, depending on the student's previous experiences.  Actors will be asked to submit an audition video, while those with Design and Technical Theatre interest will be contacted to arrange a personal interview.

Important: Students entering any Department of Theatre and Dance BFA program will be considered for these scholarships during the admissions process and should not complete this application form.  Students entering our BA/BS/BAA theatre programs, minoring in theatre or studying in other non-theatre degree programs can compete for these awards by submitting the application form below.

The deadline for application has been extended until February 6, 2021.

Application Instructions

Acting Students

This is a two-step process.  Step one is to prepare an acting audition video using the instructions provided below the application button on our BFA Acting application page, here.   Step two is to complete the application form linked above.  Be sure to create and upload your video, before completing the application.  There are spaces to provide links to an optional headshot and/or resume, as well.

Design/Technology Students

This is a two-step process.  First, complete the application form linked above.  There are spaces to provide links to an optional headshot and/or resume on the application if you'd like.  Second, students applying for a design/technical scholarship will meet virtually to discuss their design/technical background and interests in the areas of scenery, costuming, and lighting. If students have a portfolio, they may present it. We do not expect that most students will have such material, and therefore we do not require it.  One of our faculty will contact you to schedule a virtual meeting shortly after your application form is received.
