Alex Martinez originally from Shepherd, MI (not far from Mt. Pleasant). He graduated in 2016 from CMU with a Bachelor of Applied Arts (major sports management, minor professional sales & marketing). For the past 5 years, Alex has worked as a sales representative with C.H. Robinson where he connects with organizations to understand their supply chain processes and initiatives to identify where we may add value by leveraging our experience. Some of his main hobbies include Golf, Hiking, Reading, spending time with family and friends.

Marcus Brooks is a proud CMU alum who has cultivated his passion for business to lift up others and find successes of his own. He graduated from CMU with a BSBA while majoring in accounting in May of 2018, and currently works at Ernst & Young within the firm’s Strategy and Transactions service line, focusing on transaction diligence for buy and sell-side mergers and acquisitions.

Shruti is a seasoned global program leader at Dow with expertise in developing and translating business strategy into an executable action plan. She has a track record of delivering successful corporate programs that drive growth and create a competitive advantage for the company.

Shruti has a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science and MBA in General Business.

Shruti is a very active member of the Inclusion and Diversity movement at Dow and has held various leadership positions on the Asian Employee Resource Group (ERG) for over a decade dedicated to utilizing program management expertise to deliver ERG mission and strategy.

Outside of work, Shruti is the current President on the board of the Indian Association of East Central Michigan, a board member of the H (hotel) owner’s committee, an active steering team member of Midland County Youth Leadership, and a member of Cultural Awareness Coalition.

Alex graduated from CMU in 2014 with a Marketing and Logistics degree while heavily involved in Alpha Kappa Psi and the Logistics Management Council. He has since worked at Kimberly-Clark and CLIF Bar & Co, mostly in Sales and Brand Finance. Alex is a proud gay (queer) man constantly seeking to create and work in a more diverse, embracing workplace and community.

Workforce Developer, Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe

Lou has worked for the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe since 1995. She has served three terms on Tribal Council, the governing body of the Tribe, and the Board of Directors of the Soaring Eagle Casino and Resort. Lou stays active within her community by sitting on the Migizi Economic Development Board of Directors and the Isabella County Soup Kitchen board.

She currently works in Human Resources as the Anishinabe (Native) Workforce Developer, creating career paths that include, skilled trade apprentices, internships, youth co-op, and leadership development. When asked; what is the best part of her job she replied, “Having a front-row seat to everyone’s success!”
