Professor of Finance
Dr. Benet has been as Assistant/Associate Professor of finance at CMU since 2002, specializing in Derivatives Trading and Pricing, Investment in Securities Markets (both foreign and domestic), as well as Financial Engineering. He received his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, completed Masters-level coursework (and worked as TA to several faculty) at Duke University, and graduated with honors with a B.A. in economics from Cornell University.
Dr. Benet served as University Academic Senate representative for 8 years; and volunteered as Faculty Advisor to CMU's student chapter of the FMA (finance club) for nine years, traveling with club members to NYC, Chicago, Toronto, Washington D.C,, Detroit and Akron, OH numerous times.
