Dr. Perez is a Professor of Strategy, two-term Department Chair, and Senior Presidential Fellow (2019-2020). He served as an honorary Faculty Affiliate of the Erb Institute at the University of Michigan, where he was a Visiting Scholar during his Fall-2013 sabbatical. 

His research rests at the interplay of international strategy and sustainability; it has appeared in leading academic journals, such as Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Cleaner Production, and Journal of International Management and has been funded by the U.S. Department of Education. He is on the editorial board of Journal of World Business and currently serves as an Associate Editor at the American Journal of Business

Prior to joining academe, Dr. Perez worked at DuPont as an accountant, and for several brokerage firms and banks (such as BBVA) as a financial advisor. Recently, he earned the Management Development Program (MDP) certificate at Harvard’s Graduate School of Education (2018).
