B.A.; B.A.A.; B.F.A.; B.S.; B.S. in B.A. degrees
The minor in Marketing is designed for students who plan a career
closely allied to marketing, but do not intend to work in marketing
itself. Examples of such careers include broadcasting, commercial art,
journalism, home economics, or a related business area. The marketing
minor provides an overview of the marketing process but does not deal
with all of the analytical and managerial skills necessary for success
in marketing. The student will be exposed to both the process of
stimulating and satisfying demand through the marketing process.
Students should not expect that the marketing minor will make them
competitive with marketing majors for marketing positions in industry.
Students should consult an advisor in order to obtain a
degree schedule pertinant to the major they are pursuing. Students
deviating from this schedule should be careful that prerequisites will
be fulfilled in a timely manner.
To view the most accurate requirements of the degree you wish to pursue, please go to https://bulletins.cmich.edu
and select the year of the bulletin that applies to you, and "on
campus" (unless you are taking distance learning classes, in which case
you would select "off campus"). Then simply select the department and
specific major and minor you are pursuing.
