Exam Requirements
  • The certification exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions covering the information presented in the assigned readings from the textbook, the lectures, and the simulation activities.
  • This exam is 100 questions worth 1 point each.
  • The exam period is 3 hours.
  • You need a score of at least 70% to pass the certification exam.
  • This is an open book examination. You may use the textbook but no other notes.
  • You may use a calculator that does not have an alphanumeric keypad AND is approved by the proctor. You must clear all memory in front of the proctor(s).
  • Cell phones, tablets, laptops, or other electronic devices (not even a peek!) are not permitted for use in any way.
  • Each examinee must make his/her reference materials available to the proctor for review.
  • The proctor is the final authority on the admissibility of all reference materials.
  • Print and sign your name at the top of the first page of the exam questions in the spaces provided.
  • Include your name and global id on the Scantron bubble sheet. If you fail to include your global id then you will not be certified (you can’t be scored and your exam is discarded).
  • You can write on the exam. However, you must choose the BEST answer to each question and mark you answer on the bubble sheet provided. No other forms of note taking are allowed (i.e., you can only write on the exam and Scantron, nothing else)!
  • All final answers must be clearly marked on the bubble sheet!
  • No communication is permitted between examinees. Violations will be dealt with accordingly (i.e., severely). Anyone caught looking at other exams or an electronic device will have their tests taken away and you will not be certified.
  • When you are finished or when the testing period has expired, you must turn in the exam AND the bubble sheet containing your answers. If you fail to turn in both items at the end of the testing period, you will receive zero points for this exam and you will not be certified.
  • Grading of the exams will immediately follow after the exam period. Notification of certification will occur as soon as the exams are graded.
  • There is no limit to the number of times you may retake an examination. The first retake will be free of cost. You will, however, be charged a retake fee of $50 for the second retake attempt. You must retake the examination during scheduled exam periods of subsequent workshops. You will have to submit a request through a workshop application. Failing the second retake exam will require a retake of the workshop.
