Enrolled Students Must:
  • Demonstrate a commitment to academic excellence. Minimum high school GPA 3.0 preferred.
  • Register and participate in the Leadership Safari Program prior to the start of the academic year.
  • Registration will be available at: http://leadershipsafari.cmich.edu/ (Members of the CMU Band & Color Guard are excused from Leadership Safari.)
  • Attend the BRC Orientation Meetings and Welcome Activities prior to the start of the academic year. The mandatory BRC Orientation is held the Thursday or Friday before classes begin. Campus and Community Life Orientation presentation times for Calkins Hall will be available in late summer.
  • Live with other BRC students on designated alcohol & tobacco-free floors in Calkins Hall.
  • Successfully complete FYE 101, First Year Experience (1 cr) during the fall semester.
  • Successfully complete BUS 100F, Essential Business Skills (3 cr) (first required course on the B.S. in B.A Degree) during the fall semester.
  • Enroll in the appropriate MTH/STA course during the fall semester.
  • Attend required BRC meetings each semester. When registering for classes at Academic Orientation, students receive information about days and times of meetings and courses.
  • Meet with Business Advisor to develop a "4-year Academic Planning Document".
  • Uphold the behavioral standards and agreements of the Office of Residence Life for Calkins Hall.
