As a business student, you are ready to create your success story in the College of Business Administration at CMU. That is why we hope you will consider the opportunity to start your college career as a member of the Business Residential College (BRC) at CMU. BRC students live with other business students in Calkins Hall, take business classes together, focus on networking and leadership activities, explore multicultural issues, and develop lasting friendships. BRC students connect with upper-class business students and business faculty to gain practical knowledge and insights.

In addition to activities like canoe trips, wall-climbing, team-building and more, students develop a 4-year Academic Planning Document with their Business Advisor during their very first semester. Student are matched with an upper-class business student leader who serves as their mentor. After earning admission to the College of Business Administration in the sophomore year, students are invited to participate in the CBA Mentoring Program. This program matches admitted business students with a business professional for a mentoring opportunity and a job shadow experience.

BRC students are leaders and achievers who are successful in the classroom, in student organizations, and beyond. Students report that living in the BRC has positively impacted their academic performance and their adjustment to college overall.
