To make an appointment with a business advisor, call 989-774-3124.
You will receive an email reminder two days before your appointment and will need to reply to confirm your appointment by 12 noon on the day before your appointment.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
Be sure to check your schedule carefully before making appointments. If you need to cancel an appointment, please call 989-774-3124 as soon as possible. We have high demand for appointments so your call will allow us to assist another student. If you do not cancel and do not show up, it will be recorded in Degree Progress Advising Notes as a "No Show". This will delay your ability to schedule another appointment by at least 3 business days.
Late Arrival Policy
If you arrive later than 10 minutes for your appointment, you may be asked to reschedule.
Degree Progress Appointments
A typical advising appointment with a business advisor in Grawn 113 is planned for 20-25 minutes. Prepare a list of your questions in advance, review your course requirements in Degree Progress online, and review a Degree Map of your intended major.
During registration periods in November and April when demand for advising appointments is high, business students will receive a link by email to be able to schedule a 10-minute appointment for quick questions related to course selection for their next semester.

Prospective Student Visits
If you are considering attending CMU to study business, learn more by attending a Discovery Day event, a Transfer Student Visit Day, CMU & You Day, or CBA Day held in July. Other opportunities are available by calling 989-774-3124 or emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students planning to transfer to CMU are encouraged to utilize CMU Transfer Equivalencies to confirm how courses will transfer to CMU and the Transfer Simulation Tool to see how courses taken at other institutions may apply to a specific degree at CMU. In some cases, the syllabus of a course will need to be reviewed to make a determination on the transferability of the course. Business advisors review questions about transfer credits when they meet with students at Transfer Orientation or earlier if requested.
