All first year freshmen students meet with their assigned Pre-Major Advisor.  Contact Information is available at cmich.edu/MyAdvisor

Sophomores, juniors, and seniors make appointments with a business advisor by calling 989-774-3124 or visiting Grawn 113.

You will receive an email reminder two days before your appointment and will be asked to reply to confirm your appointment.

Appointment Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel an appointment, please call 989-774-3124 as soon as possible. We have high demand for appointments so your call will allow us to assist another student.  If you do not cancel and do not show up, it will be recorded in Degree Progress Advising Notes as a "No Show".

Degree Progress Appointments

To prepare for your appointment, bring a list of your questions, review your course requirements in Degree Progress online, and review a Degree Map of your intended major.

10-minute Appointments

When demand for advising appointments is high, 10-minute appointments allow for quick questions.

Personalized Degree Plan

To create a Degree Plan that helps you organize your remaining course requirements in sequence on Post-it notes, review the instructions in the presentation below.

Prospective Student Visits

If you are considering attending CMU to study business, learn more by attending a Discovery Day event, a Transfer Student Visit Day, CMU & You Day, or CBA Day held in July. Other opportunities are available by calling 989-774-3124 or emailing cba@cmich.edu.

Transfer Students

Students planning to transfer to CMU are encouraged to utilize CMU Transfer Equivalencies to confirm how courses will transfer to CMU and the Transfer Simulation Tool to see how courses taken at other institutions may apply to a specific degree at CMU. In some cases, the syllabus of a course will need to be reviewed to make a determination on the transferability of the course. Business advisors review questions about transfer credits when they meet with students at Transfer Orientation or earlier if requested.
