All MSA students under the 10-11 Bulletin are required to take six core courses: MSA 600, MSA 601, MSA 602 , MSA 603, MSA 604, and MSA 699.
MSA 620 has been replaced by MSA 601.
After completing this course, the student should:
Understand the range of problems in the work place that can be solved through an understanding of employee behavior
Recognize the organizational culture and how it is controlled by both external forces (i.e., laws, litigation, federal guidelines) and internal components (i.e., employee characteristics, management style).
Identify the principles of group interaction and its effect on organizational functioning, including both employee job satisfaction and productivity.
Analyze different management styles and their effect on employee behavior.
Discuss the multi-faceted nature of administrative effectiveness.
