MSA 681 Administrative Practicum

All MSA students under the 10-11 Bulletin are required to take six core courses: MSA 600, MSA 601, MSA 602 , MSA 603, MSA 604, and MSA 699. .  MSA 681 is an optional course recommended for students with no administrative experience which may be used as a cognate on the program plan.

Course Objectives:

After completing this course, the student should:

Actively participate in a practical on the job experience in an administrative setting.

Observe and evaluate a practical administrative experience in a "real world" setting and link that experience to improvement of the student's administrative skills.

Synthesize the experience in a comprehensive written report.

Learn skills that will assist in successful transitions for employment in administrative positions.

Develop a functional understanding of a department or organization

This course provides students with an introductory professional experience of an administrative/supervisory nature in an administrative setting. For students with limited or no administrative experience. ​
