Application Process
Thank you for your interest in the McNair Scholars Program. We will begin recruiting for our 2015 McNair cohort in September.  In the meantime, please feel free to come by the office to find out more about the program.  We would really enjoy meeting you!

The application consists of the application form (including information/signatures regarding your family’s financial and educational background), official transcripts (including any community colleges attended), personal statement highlighting your long-term career goals, resume, and two letters of recommendation (including at least one from a faculty member, preferably someone within your discipline).  Click HERE to access our application.

Strong applicants will be invited for a formal interview with the McNair director and associate director and final determinations will be made via the McNair selection committee consisting of faculty from various departments. Announcements are generally made by early November and new scholars attend an orientation session and meet with prospective faculty mentors prior to the end of the fall semester. Scholars formally begin the program the following January.

**Please note that if you do intend on applying to the program and believe that you qualify, you should confirm your eligibility (see program eligibility) PRIOR to submitting your application. Contact the McNair office at 774-1364 for assistance.

We look forward to receiving your materials!
