Program Description
Advance your career in public service with the skills and knowledge employers seek. As a student in the public administration certificate program, you will develop an advanced understanding of the political, social and economic environments surrounding public service through a focus on public policy, strategic planning, fiscal management and leadership.
The Graduate Certificate is perfect for
anyone in management or administration who wants to increase their
skills sets and knowledge to advance in their profession. The MSA was
developed to hone skills in leadership, management and organization for
professional administrators in both the public and nonprofit sectors.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the MSA program requires:
- a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution;
- minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 2.7;
- official transcripts from all undergraduate or graduate schools attended; and
- statement of purpose

Graduation Requirements
A graduate certificate requires 15-18 credit hours dependent upon
the concentration. Graduates must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA in the course
work.
Students may choose to complete a
graduate certificate and then go on to complete the rest of the MSA program if
they would like to obtain the full Master’s degree. See program pages for graduation
