Growth Mindset and the Experience of Belonging
Friday, November 10
3:30 to 5:00 p.m.
Bovee U.C. 125, Lakeshore Room
Many teachers wish that students would work well in small groups, speak up in class, and accept critical feedback. Is there a way to improve performance in these areas? At CMU, experimental psychologist David Yeager
presented ideas backed by empirical evidence that student success improves from applying the principles of Growth Mindset and the Experience of Belonging. In this workshop, we will explore easy-to-use strategies that will help your students improve academic performance while shifting your classroom culture into a space of belonging, increasing the joy of teaching and learning.
The workshop will be facilitated by Andrea Devenney (ENG) and Talat Halman (REL). Please RSVP by November 8th
. For more information, contact Suzanne Sova at 989-774-1574 or email@example.com
