Courtney Elizabeth King completed her MA in Literature at Washington State University in 2013. During her program she taught Introductory Comp. and Introductory Comp. for ESL Students at WSU, as well as ESL courses at Lewis-Clark State College.

She has presented her work at conferences near and far, including the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, LSU's Mardi Gras Conference, Pacific Ancient and Modern Languages Association, the NW Women's Studies Association Conference, Great Lakes Conference on Teaching and Learning, the Virginia Woolf Conference, and MITESOL.

She relocated to Michigan during the summer of 2013, where she was hired to teach Women Writers at SVSU and English Language courses in the CMU ELI. Since then she has continued to teach intensive English courses at CMU's English Language Institute and is currently working on an MA TESOL at the same university.
