During the first year, the Consortium will focus on conducting two inaugural projects in order to develop effective procedures.  Next year, however, a call for proposals will be issued, inviting members of the Consortium to submit new projects to the Advisory Board

The Advisory Board will give strong preference to projects proposed by members who have participated in previous Consortium projects.  In addition, acceptable projects should:

  • Be grounded in political science literature
  • Have broad appeal to the interests of teacher-scholars
  • Include a sound research design and adequate pilot testing
  • Be likely to secure IRB approval

A solid proposal must also demonstrate that the principle investigator:

  • Has access to essential resources
  • Is willing to share campus-level findings with participants
  • Has considered potential publication outlets
  • Is prepared to present findings at APSA and/or APSA-TLC conferences
