The Writing Circle
RSO Description: The Writing Circle is affiliated with the Writing Center and functions in conjunction with Center activities. The Circle supports Writing Center activities such as conference travel and the publication Carved Marks, an annual collection of essays by English 100 and English 103 students. The Circle is a small, informal group of CMU students committed to the importance of writing and encouraging future writers. It strives to provide opportunities for writers of every skill level and working in any genre to share their writing in a cozy environment and to get the feedback they need to improve their craft. This student organization invites all university students to participate in activities that support writing and teaching writing.
