MFA Western Michigan University, Ph.D. University of Cincinnati  A native of Michigan, Darrin Doyle holds an MFA from Western Michigan University and a PhD from the University of Cincinnati. He is the author of Revenge of the Teacher's Pet: A Love Story (LSU Press, 2009), which the NY Times called "an original tale that earns its readers' trust, and breaks their hearts a little in the process." His second novel, The Girl Who Ate Kalamazoo, will be published by St. Martin's Press in 2010. His short stories have appeared in Puerto del Sol, The Long Story, Cottonwood, Alaska Quarterly Review, Night Train, and other journals. He has received fellowships from the Sewanee Writers' Conference and the NY State Summer Writers' Institute.
