Presentations

Lanzhou-Hatfield Conference
GLISS director Tom Rohrer presented a paper at the Second International Lanzhou-Hatfield conference on Government Performance, Management and Leadership in Portland, Oregon. The theme of the 2011 conference was "Innovations Toward Sustainable Solutions." Dr. Rick Kurtz co-authored the paper entitled "Building a Public Institution Sustainability Program from the Ground Up." The CMU Office of Research and Sponsored Programs awarded a Premier Display grant to Rohrer to fund this travel.

Saginaw Valley Sustainability Socitey - October 17, 2011
GLISS director Tom Rohrer, along with Peter Sinclair (internet Climate Denial Crock of the Week producer), Russ Harding (Mackinaw Center), and Matthew Hall (Consumers Energy) participated in a panel discussion on Global Climate Change arranged by the Saginaw Valley Sustainability Society on October 17, 2011, in the Park Library Auditorium at Central Michigan University. CMU students and faculty as well as citizens from the Saginaw Bay area attended.
