Graduate Programs

The department’s graduate programs encompass a wide array of research interests, collaborations, and approaches. The graduates of our program are expected to become successful university scholars and teachers, leading figures in the governmental and private sectors, and successful professionals in a host of other fields in the United States and abroad.

The department offers a Master of Arts in History; Graduate Certificates in European, Modern, and U.S. History; and, in consortium with our international partners, a Joint MA/PhD in History. Funding sources include university and departmental fellowships, graduate research and teaching assistantships, and grants for research and presentation.
