Research

I am interested in the political and social relationships of European colonial powers and indigenous peoples in North America. My research specifically seeks to further our understanding of the Iroquois' role and influence between the Empires of France and Great Britain. In the context of my dissertation I am currently looking at first contact situations between Native Americans and Europeans, more precisely the meeting between four Indian sachems and Queen Anne 1710 in London.

Dissertation Title

"Meetings of Kings and Queens – A Study of First Contact between Native American and European Authorities in London and Iroquoia" (working title)
