Caity Burnell has a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology and Museum Studies and a Master's degree in Cultural Resource Management (Museum Studies specialty). She has experience in education and collections management from the James Madison's Montpelier Foundation, Castle Museum of Saginaw County, and Museum of Cultural and Natural History. Caity is also Fixed-Term Faculty in the Museum Studies Program and is teaching MST 320: Collections Stewardship/Curatorial Work in the fall 2016 semester and MST 310: Introduction to Museums in spring 2017. Her recent research focusing on Northern Michigan history has been published in two issues of Essence of Emmet including articles about Emmet County land use history and environmental history of the Inland Water Route.
