On display in the main gallery
The Museum of Cultural and Natural History's new natural history exhibit "Changing Waters: Environmental Research in the Great lakes" opened in April 2015. The exhibition describes current biological research by faculty of CMU's Institute for Great Lakes Research.
Learn about various topics related to the Great Lakes including invasive species, how the lakes and the animals that live in them have changed over time, and what you can do to help protect them. Engage with interactives including touchscreens, videos, a light up diagram of a freshwater mussel, and a white board where you can leave questions for the researchers!
To experience the accompanying fun hands-on exhibit, visit the Great Lakes Adventure Children's Gallery.
