The Chippewa Battalion hosts a broad range of Cadet Clubs. These clubs are all headed by the cadets themselves, with Cadre oversight. These clubs provide cadets with skills training they may not receive otherwise. They also give cadets recognition and an unrivaled confidence during regular Battalion operations. Participation in these clubs additionally gives cadets extra points in their accessions packets when they are submitted for ranking on the National Order of Merit List.
If the interest arises, CMU ROTC can also host Intramural Sports Teams to participate in friendly competition with other Student Groups and Registered Student Organizations on campus. Last Year the Chippewa Battalion fielded teams to participate in Soft Ball, Floor Hockey and Flag Football.
The Chippewa Battalion is also highly involved in the community. Cadets are encouraged to create philanthropies and host events for the benefit of the surrounding community. In the last year our program has sponsored three different philanthropic events as well as donating to and participating in many others our cadets are not directly involved in planning. Previous cadet hosted events include Yellow Ribbon Day, A Ride and Dine and Motorcycle Show and most recently the Dash for a Dream 5K run.Finch.....home of ROTC
