Faculty Led Study Abroad Opportunity

This summer Jordan Shurr will lead a faculty-led study abroad trip to Denmark to explore intellectual disability in terms of current and historical cultural perspectives as well as advocacy, policy, and services as compared to the US. There are 4 possibilities in coursework connected with this class including a course on the historical and current concept/ characteristics of intellectual disability (SPE 519- 3 credits), methods of instruction for students with ID (SPE 521- 3 credits), an international comparison in education course (SPE 545- 1 credit), or a combination of SPE 519 & 521. The trip itself is 12 days in country preceded by on campus coursework depending on the courses chosen by the student. I have included a link to my site with more information including informational session dates, program syllabus, estimated costs, etc. Please feel free to pass this along any students that may be interested and/or contact me with any questions.
