Tour Tuesdays are public events held in July each summer. This year's events are being held on July 10, 17, 24, and 31. They are fun for the whole family and free, but a donation is always welcomed!

Museum of Cultural and Natural History
Rowe Hall 124 (and One-Room Schoolhouse on July 10th)

The CMU Museum of Cultural and Natural History is offering free public programs on Tuesdays in July! Each event takes place from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on the campus of Central Michigan University.

July 10 - One-Room Schoolhouse
Ring, ring! Better hurry. That's the bell announcing the school day in our Bohannon Schoolhouse. Join us to experience a typical school day in 1901 including writing on slate boards, playing vintage games, and more. Meet at the corner of Preston & West Campus Drive. RSVPs are required for this event due to limited space. Please RSVP by emailing cmuseum@cmich.edu or calling 989-774-3829.

July 17 - Money Talks
Come get rich! . . . with knowledge about world currencies, how paper money is designed, and how daily transactions make the world run! Participants will see money from around the world, create their own paper bills, and play an interactive game about buying and selling on both local and global levels. RSVPs are not required for this event. Meet at the Museum of Cultural and Natural History in Rowe Hall 124, the corner of Bellows and E. Campus Drive. Parking is available in Lot 14, south of the building.

July 24 - Lost to the Lakes
Hear the stories of the boats that sank by war, storms, and other tragedies in Michigan maritime history. Learn how boats stay afloat and what to have with you in a life boat in case an accident occurs on the water. RSVPs are not required for this event. Meet at the Museum of Cultural and Natural History in Rowe Hall 124, the corner of Bellows and E. Campus Drive. Parking is available in Lot 14, south of the building.

July 30 - Civilian Muster
Almost everyone knows what happened from the perspective of the military during the Civil War, but civilian life is often overlooked. Participants will try on Civil War era clothing, explore both military and civilian objects, and learn what most people did for entertainment. RSVPs are not required for this event. Meet at the Museum of Cultural and Natural History in Rowe Hall 124, the corner of Bellows and E. Campus Drive. Parking is available in Lot 14, south of the building.
