The Chippewa Battalion has a long and proud tradition of commissioning Officers in the United States Army. Since it's inception in 1952, over 1000 Officers have received their Commission through the Chippewa Battalion. The Graduates of CMU ROTC stand tall among giants, continuing to live by the values they learned here. Their Military and Civilian careers reflect their commitment to excellence and their determination to choose the hard right over the easy wrong. Chippewa Alumni have distinguished themselves as Soldiers and pillars of their communities. Officers rooted in the Chippewa Battalion have served in every major conflict since 1952, to include those still serving across the Middle East as part of the Global War on Terror. The Chippewa Battalion is proud to have played a significant role in the development of these individuals.
