CMU and FSU Cadets enjoyed another successful Military Ball on February 15, 2014. Inducted into the Hall of Fame this year were MAJ (R) Michael G. Knapp, Class of 1978; COL (R) James E. Prescott, Class of 1972; and CPT (R) William R. Talcott, Class of 1966. Unfortunately, due to winter storms on the east coast, Michael Knapp and his family could not attend the Ball. We did, however, have the privilege of meeting both Prescott and Talcott. Other special guests this year were President & Mrs. George Ross, BG (R) John Kulhavi along with his wife Carole, as well as many other alumni and guests.

Bucks Run Golf Club, Mt. Pleasant, MI
February 9, 2013
A crowd of over 200 people enjoyed an evening of dinner, dancing and socializing with Cadets, Alumni, and CMU Administration at the 2013 Chippewa Battalion Military Ball. This was the 60th Military Ball in the history of CMU’s ROTC. This year, Major Insung Oaks Lee (Retired) was inducted into the ROTC Hall of Fame because of his extensive service to Central Michigan University, the community and to the United States of America. In addition, the guest speaker was Dr. Mark Francek from CMU’s Department of Geography. His presentation to the cadets highlighted five tips on how to be successful in life. Thank you to everyone who attended the Military Ball this year!
