The Central Autism Assessment and Treatment Centers is a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network Approved Autism Evaluation Center (AAEC) providing comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations to children and adolescents.  Each evaluation is conducted based on individual patient needs and may include a caregiver interview, psychological evaluation, speech and language assessment, and medical review.  The evaluation takes place over a series of appointments during which you and your child meet with a licensed psychologist, certified speech and language pathologist, and board-certified pediatrician.  Advanced graduate students may participate in these assessments under the supervision of a licensed professional.  After the evaluation, results and recommendations will be discussed with caregivers and a comprehensive written report will be sent in the mail.

When Central Michigan University is in session, the center is open.  Should CMU close due to weather conditions, appointments will be cancelled and rescheduled.  Please watch for closings and delays or call 989-774-7500.  Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please call at least 24 hours in advance, so the appointment time can be filled with another family from the waitlist.
