Practice, research interests and expertise

  • Dr. Grettenberger joined CMU in 2002 as the field director. She became the program director in 2006. She has over extensive practice experience as both a direct service worker and administrator. She has worked in the areas of HIV/AIDS, child welfare, domestic violence and substance abuse. Her human service work has been primarily in Latino communities in Michigan and Chicago. She has conducted research in various aspects of the federal faith-based initiatives and HIV/AIDS. Prior to joining the faculty at CMU, Dr. Grettenberger taught for the Michigan State University School of Social Work in both the MSW and BSW program from 1994 to 2001
