The Career Development Center will continue to serve students through a virtual setting.

During this time professional staff members will be conducting mock interviews while students are away from campus. This might result in limited availability for additional mock interviews not already scheduled.

In addition to the multitude of resources available on our website (careers.cmich.edu) and in Handshake, we offer virtual career coaching appointments and mock interviews through Microsoft Teams. Microsoft Teams is free to CMU students. Please follow this link and scroll down to “Teams” for instructions on how to access.

To schedule an appointment, please click cmich.joinhandshake.com and log in with your Global ID and password, click on Career Center, then Appointments, and then follow the appropriate prompts. We will contact you through Teams at the time of the appointment. All that is required is that you be logged into Microsoft Teams at the time of the appointment.

We appreciate your flexibility during this difficult time.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a series of weekly peer-led review sessions for students taking historically difficult courses at CMU. Each session is led by a leader, a student who previously excelled in the course, attend the class to take notes, models effective student behavior and is culturally competent to serve a diverse student body. SI is a chance for students to get together to compare notes, discuss important concepts, develop strategies for studying the subject and to prepare for exams.
Please be advised that all face-to-face tutoring is canceled while CMU is conducting all classes online. To obtain an online tutor, contact the Tutoring Office at aad@cmich.edu or 989-774-3465.
