Georgette RussellThe CMU College of Medicine faculty, academic and support staff are our most valuable resource. The faculty and staff at the College of Medicine provide the services and hard work necessary to achieve their  mission to prepare a diverse, culturally competent physician, focused on improving access to high quality health care in Michigan with an emphasis on rural and medically underserved regions and to engage physicians in leading health care transformation, lifelong learning, and team-based education.

It is within the F&SA pages you’ll find information and resources for all Central Michigan University College of Medicine employed Faculty and Staff. Additionally, when CMU launched its medical school in 2009, it partnered with Saginaw-based Covenant HealthCare and St. Mary’s of Michigan hospital and created CMU Partners. Faculty and Staff employed through CMU Partners should contact Lisa Killey at 989-746-7866 or by email at lisa.killey@cmich.edu.

Amongst these pages faculty physicians in our communities who generously donate their time and expertise will find information about being and becoming a Community Educator.

F&SA’s goal is to provide professional and personal development and support for all those working for the College of Medicine. In collaboration with Central Michigan University’s Office of Human Resources and Faculty Personnel Services, the College of Medicine’s F&SA team provides a range of services to help our faculty and staff succeed. Faculty & Staff Affairs team members works with the Discipline Chairs and the Faculty Advancement Appointment and Promotion committee (FAAC) to manage the appointment, reappointment, promotion and tenure process. Other areas include oversight of faculty development programs, the faculty annual performance and academic review process, and faculty recruitment. The office supports staff through training and development programs, recruitment, and all other aspects of the employment lifecycle.
