Jyotsna Pandey, MBBS, M.D., Ph.D., joined the Central Michigan University College of Medicine in 2017. Previously worked as Associate Dean Faculty Affairs at Ross University School of Medicine. Her clinical specialty is anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, hematopathology and cytopathology. She teaches clinico-pathological correlations, pathophysiology and pathology courses to first- and second-year medical students in an interdisciplinary team setting. The teaching settings are large-group (lecture and “flipped classroom”), team-based learning and simulation.

Presently involved in medical education research, with particular interest in innovative teaching modalities and their effect on student outcomes, Improving student outcomes based on undergraduate medical education competencies, interprofessional education, feedback and strategies in faculty development. Previous research interests include tumor angiogenesis and early invasion in malignant neoplasms, hypercoagulability states and their clinical relevance.
