Juliette Perzhinsky is an Associate Professor of Medicine and the Associate Program Director of Central Michigan University’s Internal Medicine Residency Training Program. She obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her IM Residency Training at the University of Pittsburgh. She was previously employed at the Ann Arbor VA and held a concomitant faculty appointment at the University of Michigan for approximately 5 years. During her tenure in Ann Arbor, she completed a master’s degree in research design and statistics at the University of Michigan School of Public Health and transitioned to fellowship at the VA’s National Center for Patient Safety. She completed both her master’s and the inter-professional patient safety fellowship training while working in the ambulatory & urgent care clinics at the Ann Arbor VA. Prior to joining CMU, Dr. Perzhinsky was the Chief of Medicine and a hospitalist at the Aleda E. Lutz VAMC in Saginaw from 2013-2015, where she now holds a part-time appointment teaching residents in the urgent care clinic along with treating our nation’s Veterans. Her research interests include studying various aspects of teaching patient safety and understanding associated linkages of chronic health conditions.
