Dr. Brown oversees the Office of Student Affairs, and is also the College’s Diversity and Inclusion Officer. Her role includes career and personal counseling, pipeline and recruitment programs, admissions, and wellness. She also contributes to the neuroscience curriculum. She most recently served as Associate Dean for Student Programs at the University of Missouri School of Medicine since 2006. She is well-recognized for her innovative and successful development of recruitment and pipeline programs based on a refined holistic review of applicants. Her team was awarded the Association of American Medical College’s award for best Career Advising Program at their national meeting in November 2016. Dr. Brown has a wealth of clinical experience as a psychiatrist, and particular expertise in providing clinical care to people with autism spectrum disorders and their families.
