Meet the CMU Health Division of Infectious Disease Specialists:
Del DeHart, M.D.
Dr. DeHart is a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America and of the American College of Physicians. He trained in Infectious Disease Medicine at Wake Forest in North Carolina, and has been in practice for 30 years in the mid-Michigan region. He has specific interests in complicated fungal infections, HIV, hepatitis, and the care of immunocompromised individuals. He is board certified in Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine and Medical Informatics.
Kate DeHart, F.N.P.
Ms. DeHart is a nurse practitioner and practices both in-patient and out-patient infectious disease medicine. She has a special interest in HIV and Hepatitis C care. Her background is in oncology, public health and infectious diseases. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan, and her Master of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University.
Raya Beiz, M.D.
We are very pleased to announce that Raya C. Beiz, MD, is joining our team as of November 1, 2017. Dr. Beiz received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of the Phillipines Diliman in Quezon City, Phillipines. She received her medical degree in 2003 from the University of the Philippines-Manila, and a graduate diploma in tropical medicine and hygiene from Mahidol University, Bangkok, Thailand.
Dr. Beiz completed a residency in primary care internal medicine at the University of Connecticut Health Center at Farmington, Connecticut, and a fellowship in infectious disease at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California.
