Dr. Ghanem, an assistant professor of general surgery with the CMU College of Medicine, is a board certified surgeon with an expertise in advanced laparoscopic endocrine, oncologic, stomach cancer and esophageal cancer surgery. He earned his medical degree in 2004 from Tishreen University in Syria, and he performed his surgical residency at Central Michigan University in Saginaw. He had a fellowship in endocrine and oncologic surgery at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
