Other Areas for Research
Central Michigan University recently opened a research facility for College of Medicine faculty. The 12,600-square-foot building is located in the Central Michigan University Technology Park area south of campus. The state-of-the-art building will house the research laboratories and offices for up to eight College of Medicine faculty.
The building is designed to conduct bio-medical research around an open laboratory concept that promotes collaboration among investigators. It contains cell culture facilities and plans are progressing to include housing space for rodent models used in research. Since opening, two recently hired College of Medicine faculty (Dr. Harold Bell and Dr. Jamie Alan) have moved in and are setting up their laboratories in the new facility. They will joined by other College of Medicine Faculty through the summer and fall.

Center for Applied Research and Technology
The CMU Research Corporation operates the Center for Applied Research and Technology facility on CMU’s south campus. This group fosters business development by leveraging CMU's intellectual, technological, and material resources.
