Robert Van Howe, M.D.|
Dr. Van Howe was appointed Professor and Interim Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics when joining the College of Medicine in September 2013. He became board certified in pediatrics after attending medical school at Loyola University – Stritch School of Medicine and completing a pediatrics residency at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. He has received a Master of Science in Clinical Research Design and Statistical Analysis from the University of Michigan School of Public Health. His research interests include cost-utility analyses, meta-analysis, and bioethics. His clinical interests include the full spectrum of general pediatrics.

Dr. Lourdes Morales-Dopico is an Assistant Director of the Pediatrics Department and an adjunct faculty physician. She joined the CMU Health team in November 2011. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Morales-Dopico started her medical studies at the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences of Havana, Cuba, and graduated from Central America Health Sciences University. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia. After her residency she was appointed to the position of chief resident in pediatrics for one more year. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Dr. Theresa Guinther is an assistant director of the Pediatric Department and an adjunct faculty physician. She joined the CMU Health Team in July 2011. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and American Osteopathic Association. She is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Guinther is a Saginaw native and graduated from ATSU-Kirksville College of osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed her pediatric residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit. where she was chief resident during her final year.
