Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is our treatment modality for mental health, pain, and substance abuse. The decision to attend counseling is at times a difficult one, yet an important step toward positive change and attitude. Many individuals need assistance during their upward climb to achieve healthy lifestyles.
The solutions to each individual's problems or concerns are not always easy to achieve. CBT counseling is a process by which individuals can achieve insight and health.
All counseling sessions are held in confidence, and no patient information will be released by the office except in the following cases:
- If the patient poses a clear and imminent danger to themselves or others;
- If the patient gives written consent that their records be released to themselves or to a third party.
- If a court orders a counselor to release information to a specific court or judge; and/or;
- In cases in which the patient was /is a victim or perpetrator of child abuse or neglect.
Biomedical/Psychiatric evaluations for alcohol and drugs for court systems (DUI, OUI, MIP), parole and probation departments, and driver's license restoration for State of Michigan and U.S. Department of Defense.
Psychodiagnostic Testing and Evaluation (which includes ADHD/ADD, MMPI-II Testing)
Substance dependence therapy is built upon the twelve-step program, and might include medication such as Suboxone for detoxification from opiates, Vivitrol (injection) for alcoholism, and Chantix for smoking cessation.
Independent Medical Examination (IME)
Chronic illness, chronic musculoskeletal pain, mental health, and substance abuse.
