Anthony Senagore, MD, MS, MBA

Professor of General Surgery
Dr. Senagore serves as the Surgical Discipline Chair and as Professor of General Surgery for CMU CMED. Dr. Senagore will have a clinic in Saginaw as part of CMU Healthcare. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University. Dr. Senagore brings a strong research background and experience from Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California.
Dr. Senagore was Director of the American Board of Surgery from 2008 to 2014. Previously, he was Vice President/Chief Academic Officer for Spectrum Health and Professor of Surgery at Michigan State University. He also served as the Krause-Lieberman Chair in laparoscopic colorectal surgery at The Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Senagore will have office space on east and west campus.
Samuel Shaheen M.D., F.A.C.S.
Vice Chair of Surgical Disciplines
Professor of General Surgery
Dr. Shaheen is the Vice Chair of Surgical Disciplines and Professor of Surgery at the CMU College of Medicine Department of Surgery. He earned an MD degree in 1992 from the University of Michigan School of Medicine in Ann Arbor, and performed his surgical residency at Northwestern University in Illinois. He was board certified by the American Board of Surgery in 1998/2007, and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Associate Professor of General Surgery
Dr. Bistolarides is Director and Associate Professor at CMU College of Medicine Department of Surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery, and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Dr. Bistolarides is a native of Toronto, Canada, and has resided in Michigan since 1994. He attended the University of Toronto and received MD degree from its medical school, and an MBA from the business school. He completed his residency in general surgery in the University of Toronto postgraduate surgery program. He joined Synergy in 2006 after 20 years of private surgical practice in both Ontario and Michigan.

Dr.Hall is a Thoracic Surgeon with CMU Healthcare. Prior to joining CMU, Dr. Hall’s recent appointments include Chairman, Director of Thoracic Surgery, Program Director General Surgical Residency and Director of Trauma and Surgical Critical Care at Stamford Health Systems. His prior roles include Director of Cardiothoracic Transplantation at University of California at San Francisco and Professor and Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery at West Virginia University. Dr. Hall completed medical school at Temple University School of Medicine and he completed his residency training at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Dr. Hall also completed a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital and a fellowship in Thoracic Oncology at Memorial hospital – Sloan – Kettering. He works out of the East Campus.
