Fire Up! Freshmen Program Registration
​hank you for your interest in the Summer 2014 Fire Up! Freshmen program held at Central Michigan University's main campus in Mount Pleasant and at the CMU Biological Station on Beaver Island.
 
This is an exclusive program, with only twenty (20) spots at each location available to the best and brightest students from around the state who plan to attend CMU in the fall. Our offer is for you to spend three (3) weeks this summer taking two science courses for a total of six (6) credit hours. These courses take advantage of the unique academic and research opportunities available to you at Central Michigan University and will apply to nearly all degree programs. In addition, you'll get to know and interact with CMU faculty and students.
 
CMU's Summer 2014 Fire Up! Freshmen program covers:
  • Tuition and fees for one science course
  • Required textbooks and lab manuals for both courses
  • Room and board for your entire 3-week stay (July 23 through August 13​, 2014)
  • Round-trip ferry from Charlevoix and transportation while on Beaver Island
    (Beaver Island program)
You only pay the tuition for one science course and for your own transportation to Charlevoix or to CMU's main campus.

Costs & Billing

Cost for each student is the cost of tuition and fees for a 3-credit course ($1,122.00). A billing statement will be sent to the student's CMU email address June 3. Payment is due July 1.
