Biology Curriculum Changes

Our undergraduate biology curriculum is changing
In the Fall of 2016, the biology department faculty will roll out a set of five new core courses for all Biology majors.  These courses are designed to provide students with the key concepts and skills in biology as outlined by the Vision and Change document produced by leading biologists and educators from across the country.  This common set of core classes for all Biology students will provide a strong foundation in basic biological concepts through hands on experimental learning, and emphasize the development of critical thinking and communication skills.  After completing the core courses, students can choose from our four biology majors and take a diverse array of specialty classes in preparation for research, educational, and healthcare-related careers.

CMU is an AA/EO institution, providing equal opportunity to all persons, including minorities, females, veterans, and individuals with disabilities.
