Water quality problems occur throughout Michigan. The rapid urbanization of previously rural areas, the demands of a thriving tourism industry and the state’s commercial and industrial expansion have strained some of Michigan’s plentiful water resources. Water quality analysis is the first step in determining whether water resources are threatened or degraded and whether you should take measures to protect or improve these resources.
The Michigan Water Research Center is here to help! We offer expertise to the citizens of Michigan to assess water quality in your home, business or community.
At MWRC, our water quality specialists use state-of-the-art water assessment equipment to collect and analyze surface water, groundwater and drinking water from recreational, commercial, industrial and domestic water sources. We also analyze aquatic plants, fish and invertebrate populations.
