Charlotte Trout ScholarshipHuman Environmental Studies
About: This scholarship was established in 1979 by Mr. and Mrs. George J. Verville in memory of Charlotte W. Trout to provide a monetary award to a junior or senior majoring in human environmental studies at Central Michigan University. Preference is given to a student who gives promise of becoming outstanding in the field and who is dedicated to the preservation of the family. The student must demonstrate excellent performance in scholastic achievement.
Requirements:
• Junior/senior majoring in human environmental studies

Freddie Link Simonds ScholarshipHuman Environmental Studies
About: Established in 1987 to honor Freddie Link Simonds. Income from the endowment will support a scholarship for a junior or senior with a minimum GPA of 3.0  who is a Junior or senior enrolled in the Department of Human Environmental Studies.Part-time attendance or withdrawal from the university will result in cancellation of the scholarship.
Requirements:
• First preference given to a student studying Apparel Merchandising and Design
• Second preference will be given to a junior of senior studying Dietetics

Helen M. Lohr ScholarshipHuman Environmental Studies
About: Established in 1987 through the estate of Helen M. Lohr for a student within the Department of Human Environmental Studies.

Laurel Wood Brice Endowed AwardHuman Environmental Studies
About: Established in 2007 by Pat Loers in memory of her mother, Laurel Wood Brice. Income from this endowment will support a scholarship for a full-time junior or senior enrolled in the Department of Human Environmental Studies and majoring in early childhood development in the elementary education program with a GPA of at least 3.0. Preference will be given to students from Mecosta or Isabella County.​
Requirements:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Full-time junior/senior
• Enrolled in the Department of Human Environmental Studies
• Majoring in Early Childhood Development Program in the Elementary Education 
   Program
• Preferred location: Mecosta or Isabella County ​​

Lois A. and Richard C. Sandbrook Family ScholarshipHuman Environmental Studies
About: ​Established in 2013 by Lois A. Sandbrook '57, '72. Income from the endowment will support an award for a junior or senior enrolled in the College of Education and Human Services, Department of Human Environmental Studies. Student will have demonstrated financial need and will have leadership or volunteer involvement with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. First preference will be to a student majoring in Family Studies, second preference will be for a student majoring in Child Development. If no recipient fits the first and second preference, then the scholarship may be awarded to a student majoring in any program offered in the Human Environmental Studies Department. Preference will also be given to a graduate from the Montabella, Shepherd or Midland school districts or a transfer student from Montcalm Community College.
Requirements:
• Junior/senior
• Student will have demonstrated financial need
• Leadership or volunteer involvement
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Student majoring in Family Studies, second preference in Child Development. If no recipients fit first and second, then award may be given to a student majoring in the department
• Preference to students from Montabella, Shepherd, Midland or a transfer from Montcalm Community College

Rose J. Hogue ScholarshipHuman Environmental Studies
About: Established in 1985 in honor of Rose J. Hogue, a professor in the Department of Home Economics from 1919 to 1953, for a junior or senior majoring in dietetics with a 3.0 or higher GPA.
Requirements:
• Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
• Junior/senior studying dietetics

Tracy Marie Rondy Memorial Endowed AwardHuman Environmental Studies
About: Established in 2006 in memory of Tracy Marie Rondy by her parents Gary and Maureen (Class of 1984) Rondy, sister Tara Rondy (2000), family and friends. Income from the endowment will support a scholarship for a fulltime CMU student with a minimum 3.0 GPA who attended a public, private, or alternative education school in Mt. Pleasant, Shepherd, Beal City, Alma, Ashley, Breckenridge, Ithaca, or St. Louis. Preference will be given to students with a signed major in interior design and/or who worked on the vocational education house while attending the Mt. Pleasant High School Vocational/Technical Center.
Requirements:
​• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Preference to students with a signed major in interior design and/or who worked on the vocational education house while attending Mt. Pleasant High School Vocation/Technical Center
