​Research Interests:
Areas of interest:
Dr. Wirz’s research interests include co-teaching and inclusive practices, professional development for in-service teachers, students with emotional/behavior disorders, assessment in education with emphasis on curriculum-based measurement, and special education policy and law.

Current projects:
Dr. Wirz is currently working with the Michigan Geographic Alliance on the Macomb Area Middle School Geography and History Project funded by the Michigan Department of Education to provide professional development to middle school social studies teachers.
